How does the Uunguu Visitor Pass relate to Uunguu Native Title?

The Uunguu Visitor Pass applies to 50 Visitor Locations on the mainland, islands and inter-tidal areas (high to the low water marks), saltwater (sea) and cultural sites - over which we, the Wunambal Gaambera people (Wanjina Wunggurr Uunguu native title holders), have exclusive and shared native title rights and interests (see native title determination map and Visitor Location Map).

The UVP enables visitors and Tour Operators to satisfy any potential visitor impact on Wunambal Gaambera Uunguu native title and assists to comply with the laws that govern entering WA Aboriginal Heritage sites and aboriginal reserves. The UVP does not apply to deep saltwater travel (below the low water mark), however visitors are asked to respect Wunambal Gaambera people’s saltwater cultural values where identified.
