Wunambal Gaambera Aboriginal Corporation

Wunambal Gaambera Aboriginal Corporation (WGAC) manages the Native Title rights and interests of the Wunambal Gaambera people.

Wunambal Gaambera Country, in the far north Kimberley covering 2.5 million hectares of graa (land) and wundaagu (sea), is an IUCN Category VI Managed Resource Area declared by Wunambal Gaambera people as the Uunguu Indigenous Protected Area (Uunguu IPA).

For Wunambal Gaambera people, our Uunguu, or our ‘living home’, has been passed down to us from our Wanjina Wunggurr creators and ancestors.

Responsibility to look after our Country and culture has been passed to us.
